Patient Information
We’re Here
to Help
We promise to welcome you into a caring and professional environment where we will listen with respect and respond to your concerns. Our approach is ethical and our prices are transparent, which means that we will give you a clear breakdown of any proposed treatment costs in advance, as well as all the information you need to make an informed decision. We are more than happy to discuss this with you at any time. Should you have further questions after your visit to us, please call our helpful team.
How often do I need to visit the
dentist and hygienist at Dental Domain?
Our dentists recommend that you visit us every 6 months for your comprehensive dental exam and hygiene cleanings. You may require additional appointments depending on your needs, but twice a year is a good starting point.
I haven’t been to the dentist in years.
Can you help?
Absolutely. There’s no judgment here. No matter when you last saw a dentist, we’re here to help. We understand people put off their dental care because they’re nervous about what to expect, or sometimes it is because of perceived cost. The best way to look after your oral health is by having regular exams, and hygiene cleans. This small cost regularly, helps identify any potential issues that can be managed, and by keeping your teeth professionally clean you reduce the likelihood of cavities that may result in the need for fillings or something more involved.
We help bring clarity to the process and offer an empathetic experience focused on your comfort.
Are dental
x-rays safe?
Yes. We’ve invested in advanced digital imaging technology to ensure your safety. While dental x-rays do involve radiation, the exposure levels are so low that it’s considered safe for children and adults. At Dental Domain, your safety is always at the forefront of our minds.
What if I need to
reschedule my appointment?
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call us as soon as possible at 09 777 4343. We’ll work together to find a better time slot for you. Also if you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible.
We do request at least 24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments and we ask that you respect our time as much as we respect yours. A cancelled appointment that we cannot fill is always a waste of professional time and could have been utilised to help another patient who may have been able to come in if provided with adequate notice. We reserve the right to levy a cancellation charge that is based on the duration of our appointment. This will apply to patients who are receiving treatment supported by Work and Income New Zealand and ACC as well.
How much
will it cost?
Our fees are based on the premium work undertaken here at Dental Domain including the quality of dental materials used, and our expertise in the treatment you need. An investment in superior quality has been made to ensure our work is of the highest standard. This ensures you the peace of mind that oral care treatments that you have invested in are of the highest quality. Good dentistry requires attention to detail, use of high-quality materials, laboratory services, use of advanced dental technology, time to develop a customised plan and to properly execute that plan. Your dentist will always discuss your options and the associated fees with you prior to commencing any treatments.
What is a
Treatment Plan?
During your thorough dental exam with us, should the dentist find any issues requiring further attention, they will discuss your treatment options with you and give you a comprehensive treatment plan to take home with you. This document will give you details about your treatment options and associated costs. The treatment plan will ensure that all your concerns will be addressed first. The advantages of having a comprehensive dental plan done are many. All problems and potential problems are identified. Your wants and goals for your mouth and smile are taken into account. Treatment plans paid in advance always progress to completion more rapidly; you will not let other things get in the way if you have made the commitment to care for your oral health.
What are my
Payment Options?
The payment options are reviewed prior to treatment and agreed upon by the office and patient before any treatment is started. This is the most comfortable way for both parties since all the details are worked out in advance and do not interfere with treatment.
Payment Methods:
We accept Cash, Eftpos or Credit Card. We accept Visa, Visa Paywave, MasterCard, American Express, Q Card and Farmers Card.

Financial and Credit Policy

Any credit arrangements must also be made in advance and credit is not made available unless prior arrangements have been made. All unresolved debts of more than 30 days are always sent to our debt collectors and the cost of recovery is passed on to the debtor.
You will find that we are almost always wanting to help, we only ask that you make your financial arrangements prior to treatment being provided.
